    1871 (Jan 27): 'Correspondence Havas' entire (German language), used from Paris to Augsburg, flown on the final Ballon No. 65 'Le Général Cambronne', with 1868 laureated 40 c. orange tied by Paris Star with despatch cds alongside. Reverse with two line "Bahnhof Augsburg / 7 Feb 1871-8" two line handstamp in black. Displays well, a fine and scarce entire. Signed Calves Lhéritier handbook 2000 = € 3'800/Maury 2011 = € 3'500.

    1870/71: Correspondance 'Havas' during the Siège of Paris, a very interesting lot containing 13 various issues carried by different balloons (in between No. 6 to 62) and mainly addressed to 'L'ordre et la Liberté, Cour de la Monnaie à Caen', one piece with removed stamp and another one with cut-out address, in addition Havas news of February 17th, 1871 in French and printed on blued paper, not flown, all items in excellent quality, nicely mounted up on album pages with description, a rare offer for the balloon enthusiast.

October): First Nonstop Flight Paris - Buenos Aires by Costes & Le Brix, envelope franked with 1.50 fr. blue + 3 fr. violet cancelled "Bourget Aviation Seine 9*10-10 27" with Buenos Aires arrival mark and special cachet "Costes y Le Brix, cubrieron 12400 kilometros en 72 horas, Raid Aereo Paris-Buenos Aires" alongside.     1912 (20 Oct.): Letter and handwritten lettersheet with imprint of 'Société Anonyme des Établissements Nieuport', depicting the famous monoplane, addressed to Mr. Economos, President of the Austrian Aeroclub in Vienna: "je vous remercie personellement pour la superb médaille d'or que vous m'avez envoyée pour mon record ...." signed by Charles de Nieuport († um 1913). Rare autographed letter of this Flight Pioneer.
