    1919 (July 7): Battered registered cover to Bombay franked by 1919 Mosul 1 a. on 20 pa. black on red pair, one torn, and single 8 a. on 10 pa. lake tied by "Mosul / Reg" datestamps. Registered label at base and reverse with manuscript "Received with breaks opened as marked" and the Postmaster has ringed the damage to the stamps and envelope in blue crayon. Most unusual.
