Obverse struck in addition by French "ITALIE LANSLEBOURG 6 NOV 61" entry cds and "LONDON PAID NO 7 61" transit cds, both in red. Reverse with Genova and Torino transit (Nov 3/4) cds's. Light horizontal file fold well away from the franking, a correctly paid single rate letter sent via France and Great Britain in the tariff of 1857.     Regno, combination usage of Sardinian and Italian adhesives 1868 (May 22): Entire letter written in Rome but despatched in Florence and directed to Perugia, bearing Sardinia IV. emission 5 c. green in an extraordinary mixed franking with Italy De La Rue 1863 (Dec) 15 c. 'celeste chiaro', two fine and fresh adhesives with the handwritten note "Francobolli fuori d'uso" at right. The DLR adhesive was obviously already used and shows a weak "P.D." handstamp in red, the Matraire adhesive was not cancelled at all. Despatch "FIRENZE UFo SUCCURSALE N. 1 22 MAG 68" cds at right. Reverse with PERUGIA arrival cds in red of the next day. The cover was regarded as completely unpaid and taxed with '3' decimi, 1.5 times the missing franking. Some insect bite on reverse, nevertheless a most interesting entire sent from the the administration of cardinal Borromeo, the Matraire definitive used more than five years after is devaluation.     1868 (Sept 25): Sixfold rate Envelope from the 'MINISTERO DI MARINO' in Firenze, directed to the Chief Commander of the Italian Naval Division of South America in Montevideo, bearing 1866 Torino printing 2 l. scarlet, a single example and a horizontal pair, fine and fresh adhesives in a vibrant shade, tied by light '12' numeral obliterator, FIRENZE despatch cds and "P.D." handstamp in black alongside, the latter lateron erased and replaced by a "P.P." handstamp in black. The front was struck in addition by French "ITALIE LANSLEBOURG 28 SEPT 68" entry cds in blue and "LONDON PAID 29 SP 68" transit cds in red. Reverse with blue cachet of the Italian Ministry of the Navy and "TORINO - SUSA" ambulant cds. Minor toning and some edge wear just mentioned for accuracy, a splendid piece of postal history, the two lire definitives paying six times the 100 centesimi rate via Great Britain to the port in Uruguay.
