    1863 (Oct 22): Entire letter from Vietri sul Mare to Nizza, bearing 1862 40 c. red-carmine, a fresh single adhesive from position 12 in a deep shade showing variety: complete 'filetto di riquadrature', tied by light "VIETRI SUL MARE" cds in black (Sassone SA = 8 punti). Framed "P.D." handstamp in black and indistinct French entry cds in red alongside. Reverse with Napoli and "GENOVA PORTO" transit cds's. Lightest filing folds well away from the franking, nevertheless an appealing entire with this sought after variety. Signed Bolaffi Sassone = € 3'500 + 1'000.
