Huningue' entry marking in red and reverse with Paris arrival cds (Nov 3) in blue. The cover was prepaid 14 kreuzers to the Austrian border (on reverse) and charged '15' décimes due upon receipt.     Austrian Post Offices / Crimean War 1855: Civilian cover from Giurgevo to Pest, franked with Austrian 1850/54 3 kr. red, four single examples and a pair, fair to large margins all round, tied by "GIURGEVO 13/8" (1855) cds in black (Müller 3441a = 1275 points; Tchilinghirian fig. 748), one stamp by single line "RECOM:", reverse with "Gereinigt b. K.K. Rastelamte ALT-ORSOVA 15/8 1855" quarantine cds and Pesth arrival cds (18/9). Rastel punch holes in two stamps, horizontal fold through the pair and cover refolded at base and at left, but an exceedingly rare registered multiple franking. The Giurgevo datestamp was intended for the Consular P.O. in 1854 and was used thereafter as a canceller in the sedentary Fieldpost office situated there from February 1855 without showing any Fieldpost related information.
