    Sulina 1856 (Jan 13): Entire letter from Sulina to the Theologo Brothers in Galatz, struck with oval AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / SULINA in green (unrecorded by Tchilinghirian or Blistyar) with arrival docketed the next day in Galatz. Despite the blurred appearance this is beleived to be one of just two known covers showing the Agency seal-an extremely important entire as Sulina only acquired Post Office status two years later in 1858 and showing the preliminary activity of the Agency prior to that date.

    1873 (Oct 24): Entire letter to Trieste with 1867/74 15 s. brown tied by bold strike of SULINA datestamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 840) with year date, reverse with Itzkany cds (Oct 28) and Trieste arrival (Oct 31).     Tulcea 1857 (April 27): Entire letter from Tultscha (Tulcia) to Constantinople struck with good impression of the rare oval AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / TULCIA in blue-green (Tchilinghirian fig. 836). Crossed by file fold but a rare marking used a year prior to the date Tchilinghirian suggested the Office re-opened after the Crimean War.
    Note: The Lloyd agent in Tultscha was also the Danube Steam Navigation Co. agent and the Austrian Consul.

    1865/66: Covers (2), earlier example to Cefalonia, Ionian Islands franked by Austrian Levant 1864 15 s. brown, perf 9½ tied by superlative strike of TULTSCHA datestamp (July 6) in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 837), the cover unfortunately with cuts at left, with Argostolian Greek arrival cds on reverse in black and an 1866 entire letter to Vienna franked by 1864 10 s. blue, perf. 9½ in a vertical pair tied by TULTSCHA cds in black. Despite fault a rare usage from an elusive Office.

    1843 (Sept 15): Entire letter from Alexandria to Steyr, Austria prepaid 12 kreuzer to Trieste by sea, charged a further 12 kr. due on receipt under the new 1842 tariff for the inland journey to destination, struck with bold ALEXANDRIA straight line handstamp in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 1).     1846 (May 26): Entire letter, vinegar splashed and with two slits for disinfection due to Cholera outbreak, mailed from the Sardinian Consulate in Alexandria to Syra, Greece and struck with very fine strike of oval framed AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / ALEXANDRIA in bright blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 3). Charged 18 kreuzers on reverse in crayon alongside Sardinian Consular cachet in black, rated '20' (kreuzer) in manuscript for a single letter on front. An extremely rare entire.
    Note: The Lloyd Office in Alexandria was sub-servient to the Consular Office which helps to explain the rarity of this marking, found used only in 1846.

    Alexandria 1847 (July 20): Entire letter, slitted for disinfection due to Cholera outbreak, mailed from Alexandria to Livorno through the Austrian P.O. with fine two line dated ALEXANDRIEN / JUL.20 despatch in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 2), prepaid at 24 kreuzer, noted on reverse in manuscript. Initially disinfected by slits at Trieste and then again with framed DISINFETTATA DEL LAZARETTO / ST. ROCCO DI LIVORNO in black on reverse. Transits of 'Trieste via / di mare' in black and circular 'Austria No.1' in black applied in Florence. Charged 8 centesemi due on receipt. A fine and scarce cover that displays well.

    1850 (Oct 28): Entire letter written from Batavia, Netherlands East Indies to London via Trieste; with sender's cachet in red at left and Batavia half round datestamp in blue. Struck in transit with two line dated ALEXANDRIEN / 7 DEC handstamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 2) in black, prepaid as far as Alexandria and then rated 9 kr. (Lloyd ship), 10 kr. Austrian transit cost, 6½ gr. to  Aachen. Framed 'Aus Oesterreich' and framed K.PR. POST-SPED BUREAU / DER WILLIAMS BAHN. in red on reverse with London arrival (Oct 20) in red. A fine and scarce cover.
