    Crete-Allied Intervention. 1898 (Nov 25) : 20 pa. bright violet, handstruck locally on imperforate medium white wove paper, two examples (one in a very pale shade) used for 1 piastre double rate to St. Myron, tied by HERAKLEION handstamps in black. The envelope with faults but rare Gi B1 = £ 450+.
    Note: The Lloyd Agency operated the Posts on behalf of the British peace-keeping forces in Candia, the ink on the adhesives also being supplied by the Agency.
