1858/91: Reprints by Postmaster Colonel August Gorjan, with Bull's Head 27 pa. black struck on thick yellowish card paper, 54 pa. black and 108 pa. black each printed on horizontally laid paper, and November 1858 5 pa. black and 40 pa. black on medium yellowish paper, all imperforate. Fresh and very fine, these 'official' reprints were produced by Gorjan between February 1891 and February 1892 when he held the position of Director of Posts; and, in quantity produced rival the original issues. It is interesting to note that the 5 pa. black shows the characteristic clouding of the vignette that does not appear on the sheet No. 6 also offered in this sale.
