    1924 (Sept 14): 5 pi. violet pair used on Istanbul-Ankara Airmail service run by CFRNA (Cie. Franco-Roumaine de Navigation Aerienne) neatly tied by bold strike of 'Postes Aériennes / Stamboul' cds with repeated strike above, arrival cs on reverse. Correctly rated (5 pi. postage + 5 pi. airmail surcharge). Fresh and fine cover. Ex collection Bill Robertson.

    Note: Between Sept 5, 1924 and Oct 30, 1924 the service flew three return flights a week between Istanbul and Ankara.
