    1919: British Occupation of Batum. Cover endorsed 'O.A.S.' (On Active Service) to England, written and countersigned by R.A.F. Flight Lieutenant Mead, struck with fine FIELD POST OFFICE / 80 datestamp (March 15) in black. Framed PASSED BY CENSOR / 88 in red at left and reverse with RAF crest on envelope and Wokingham arrival cds (April 9). A rare cover from the Allied Campaign aiding the Whites and the Greens against the Bolshevik Reds. Ex collection Bill Robertson.
