    1858: 'Admiralty' (1½) piastre, lithographed in deep carmine on white paper imperforate, used on May 9, 1860 cover to Gemlek, Chios (Mixany correspondence) with value inserted in manusctipt '1½'. Framed Anchor 'P.P.' cachet at right (Ringstrom & Tester type 10) in black. The earliest known usage of the combination between the Admiralty adhesive and the Anchor handstamp. A great rarity on original cover. Illustrated in Ringstrom & Tester on page 126. Signed A. Diena, Giulio Bolaffi and A. Bolaffi. Cert. A. Diena (1971) and G. Bolaffi (1972) Mi = EUR 10'000.
