5 c. yellow, the famous Laarsen reconstructed sheet of 54 stamps (9x6), with two blocks of 24 stamps being the largest known multiples of any value of the New Granada issue, a vertical strip of four (positions 19/28/37/46) and a vertical pair (position 41/50), most stamps with large margins all round and with full sheet margin surround, whilst there are faults and some creasing, most are of excellent colour and freshness. Of tremendous importance to the specialist and one of the highlights of Colombian Classic Philately.

20 c. red, the extraordinary piece bearing a horizontal pair (position 32-33), marginal strip of six (positions 37-42) and 1863 20 c. red (two, one is halved at end of the piece and the other with closed tear), all cancelled by manuscript pen strokes. Position 40 in the strip of six shows the major retouch "redrawn background lines above the value". One or two minor vertical creases of no importance as this exceptional piece bears the largest known used multiple of the 20 centavos in the strip of six besides showing a rare mixed issue franking. 1862/63: 10 c. blue, vertically creased example with good margins, used on 1862 entire letter to London, tied by BOGOTÁ pearled oval handstamp in black. Reverse with British Post Office CARTHAGENA datestamp in black (June 1) and London arrival cds (June 28) in red and charged in manuscript '1s.' to pay. The adhesive with vertical crease from repaired file fold and the cancellation strengthened but a remarkable early usage of the adhesive on a letter abroad. Cert. Moorhouse (2014).
Note: Scott lists the date of issue of this stamp as 1863, Gibbons lists the issue date as July 1862, this cover therefore is possibly the earliest known usage of the adhesive.

Manuscript on reverse concerning contents (paperwork for the liquidation of an estate), the stamps with some staining from letter-sheet and gum but whilst the single is cut into, the strip has huge margins all round. 1863: 10 c. blue on bluish wove paper, the extraordinary block of 53 stamps, being the entire sheet less the upper row of seven stamps, including the stamps placed sideways, alternating columns with Types I and II (with stop after '10' - 27 examples) and Type III (without stop after '10). The sheet with 3 mm margin at right and 9 mm margin at base, with a few insignificant creases and a minor scissor cut of no importance at base, of vivid fresh colour and large part original gum with some stamps unmounted. The largest recorded multiple of the 1863 issue and one of the major pieces of all South American philately.
