    1864: 20 c. scarlet, a vertical pair, lower stamp superb, top stamp just touched at upper left, used on cover and part back to Tulcan, Ecuador tied by fingerprints and stamps with manuscript 'Tuquerres' cancellation.  Manuscript at upper right 'Pera 40 grs.' in explanation of rate, an appealing and rare usage of this issue on cover mailed to a foreign destination.
