Reverse with Vienna cds (Sept 26) and Wyl arrival cds (Sept 28) in black. A rare cover - underfranked by 5 soldi (the rate to Switzerland had been reduced to 15 soldi on 1 September 1868) and the clerk probably did not notice the stamp was in this currency rather than the 'normal' kreuzer. Slight reduced soiling and small faults but a scarce cover - the sole such recorded.

A rare cover - the single rate to Switzerland had been reduced to 15 soldi on 1 September 1868 and thus this double rate cover was overpaid 10 soldi. Slight peripheral aging and the 10 s. with contemporary tear but a scarce and most attractive cover. Signed Ferchenbauer.

    1942-44: Concentration camp letters (3), two folded letters, one with engraved 12 Pf Hitler (Mi 788) sent from Miroslaw Rybycki to Biłgorai (well documented veteran of the Pilsudski Legion) "Geprüft 3 K-L- Auschwitz"; the other folded letter from 1944, with 12 Pf Hitler typo printing (Mi 827) from Lesław Dolinski sent to Puławy with censor cancel "Geprüft 11 K-L- Auschwitz" and the third item, an envelope from women camp Ravensbrück with letter-sheet from famous Maria Rotkowska, author of concentration camp poems, to her mother or sister Maria Sucheni in Gidle. Including Red Cross topic, prisoners of war, censorship. From the endorsement on a Red Cross envelope has been crossed out, what pointed to Poland and Polish Presidents Mościckis portrait has been covered with black ink on a stationery post card.     1944: Group of 12 used stationery postcards 25 on 15 GR., in the describers opinion 7 cards apply for to be from non-philatelic use, 4 of the 5 cards classified as philatelic are registered, two with cancel confirming payment in cash and one with two 50 Gr. stamps, the other one is late use with 5 zl on 25. Gr. surcharge on Traugutt stamp used 22.1.45 registered, circulated  locally - The cards from 'true' mail bear full text on the back, 5 are censored (and one has a small missing part at the bottom)..     1859: Registered entire letter to Galatz carrying valuables (endorsed as travelling with 355 gold coins at left with return receipt requested) struck with "JASSY / MOLDOVA" circular datestamp (June 9) and rare usage of framed Cyrillic "FRANCO" and "RECEPISSE" registration handstamp all in blue (Kiriac figs. 292+216). Charged "33 Lei" in manuscript at upper right (old Lei = 1'320 parale). Two insignificant file folds, a wonderful and extremely rare entire. Ex collection Sassower.rnrnNote: The Cyrillc framed "FRANCO" handstamp was reintroduced for just this purpose, this being the earliest recorded use of the second phase of the handstamp after re-introduction of adhesive stamps. This cover illustrated in Kiriac Dragomir "Stampilografie Postala" on page 74 and further discussed and illustrated in "The London Philatelist" of March-April 1980 (Volume 89, no. 1047-1048) in an article by Gabby Sassower on pages 51.
