    Bucharest 1867: 15 s. brown, a used horizontal pair on 1868 single rate cover to Chaux des Fonds, Switzerland endorsed "FRANCO" with private handstamp in black, tied by "BUCAREST" circular datestamp (Aug 25) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 714). Reverse with Chaux des Fonds arrival cds (Aug 31) in black. A rare cover - rate was 20 soldi to the Swiss border plus a further 10 soldi for inland delivery. Closed tear in face panel not detracting from the rarity and appearance of a scarce cover - just two recorded from Romania with this franking. Signed Ferchenbauer.
