1779 (Jan 7): Cover from Barbacoas to the Postmaster of Pasto, distance 45 leagues / 250 kms., carried free of charges as addressed to the Postmaster, struck with the sole recorded strike of contracted BARCOAS handstamp in red-brown (Tizon 1 = EXT). An outstanding strike of this marking, the cover dated from the original content retained by the former owner, and unique.
