    90 reis black, Early Impression on yellowish paper from the First Composite plate, State C after retouching, the astonishing used block of 17, the complete pane less the lower right stamp (position 18), all cancelled by manuscript ink in red-brown, defective at left and sympathetically restored, the faults being of negligible importance as this multiple represents the largest known unit of the first plate.
