1786 (Sep. 19): Cover front with rare strike of 'SB' of San Bartolome, stating the arrival of Francisco Reyes, 'conductor del correo' of Antioquia, signed by him and as confirmation by the postal administrator of S.Bartolome. On the reverse stating the return of the 'conducter delcorreo' to Antioquia carrying new mail. This example being the earliest of just four known examples of the SB cancellation. Cert. 2½ c. ochre-yellow, the famous irregular mint block of 19 stamps from the left side of the sheet, positions 1-4/12-15/23-25/34-37/45-48, with large margins all round and position 26 excised, position 25 with some rubbing of the colour otherwise an immaculate and rare multiple-the second largest known block - twinned on album page with a vertical block of eight seemingly from the same sheet and shade, marginal from base of sheet being positions 16-17/27-28/38-39/49-50. 20 c. grey-blue, Second Stone, the complete mint sheet of 55 (5x11), showing the corrected positions 13 and 35, of usual slightly washed colour with a few tone spots primarily in upper margin and an insignificant inclusion towards position 45 in left margin, usual minor creasing to be expected, but a wonderful multiple of stunning appearance with full sheet margins on all four sides and nearly full original gum. Just four panes are recorded of the Second Stone, this being without doubt one of the finest.

20 c. bright blue in a superb rich shade, used on 14 March 1860 entire letter from Ambalema to Barranquilla, docketed '20' at upper right and franked accordingly; the adhesive tied by bold strike of oval "HONDA / FRANCA" handstamp in blue and just touched by file fold not detracting from wonderful appearance. The entire travelled on the coastal route down the Magdalena River, with 20 centavos pre-paying the single letter rate for a distance of 450 to 1350 km.
