    1859 (Jan 27): Registered cover from Bogotá to Cartagena with '8' rate marks (five, in blue) used to annotate the edges of the cover to denote registration, struck with fine BOGOTÁ / FRANCA oval handstamp in blue with rate mark '15' alongside and red italic handstamp 'Certificacion á Bogotá / Salio en 27 de Enero de 1859' with date filled in manuscript. Docketing of receipt on reverse of a rare and charming cover.
