1893: De La Rue Appendix sheet for the Key Plate issue, the page divided horizontally in two halves (the original illustrated in the 'The De La Rue Collection' edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6687), showing 16 stamps with fifteen values from ½ d. to £ 20 (two of the 1 d. duty) all with ZULULAND and the Duty Plates hand-painted in a variety of colours on Imperforate Plate Proofs in dull mauve or dull green, together with a further three Imperforate 6 d. values on red paper with ZULULAND hand-painted. A wonderful and most extraordinary page with full typed description from the De La Rue archives explaining the reasons for the red paper Proofs.
