    Overprinted ZULULAND 1888/1893: 1 d. lilac used on 1891 Soldier's Letter to Bridlington, Yorkshire, endorsed at top "from Pte. J. Sanderson, East Yorkshire Regt., Zululand", countersigned by a Captain in the Mounted Company at base, the adhesive tied by "Eshowe / Zululand" cds in black. Reverse with "Durban / Natal" cds (March 19) and Bridlington arrival cds (April 20). Small faults as usual, part of flap missing but a rare cover.
