    1894/96: 3 d. dull mauve & olive-brown, a horizontal strip of three, marginal from right of sheet, used on registered 1896 cover to Hannover, Germany, all tied by ESHOWE / ZULULAND cds's (July 15) in black. Large oval 'R' at left and 'Registered / London' hooded datestamp of transit (Aug 8) in violet on front. Reverse with blue British Governmental crest in blue, 'Durban / Natal' transit July 16) and Hannover arrival cds (Aug 9). A scarce and most attractive cover. Signed G.
