Interestingly, both adhesives show partial printing flaw at the top of each stamp with colour loss at the top of the oval. Slight cover fault of no importance on front, a great rarity on letter.

On arrival the cover was charged by the City Post for local delivery with 1866 Liannos Post Postage Due 10 paras black on yellow label with additional manuscript "1" (piastre) notation as the cover was not collected by the addressee (Foreign Post Offices within Turkey were not allowed to deliver mail direct). 1922 (Aug): 5 pi. blue, handstamped on toned 'pad' paper with octagonal design (23 x 20 mm.) reading "Posta / Besh (Five) / G (Guerche-Piastres), a fine unused example of this rare Provisional Isfila YP282.
Note: Akpinar is a small mountainous village 40 North East of Afyon, the Turkish 6th Army Forces were gathering to attack the Greeks (August 22, and followed through the successul attack to Izmir by September 9). Stamps had run short at Field Post Offices # 46, 95 and 102; especially the 5 piastres value as Officer's mail had to be franked. A reserve Officer, one Nedjin Bey, under orders from the Chief of Staff of the 16th Infantry Division, Nihat Bey, prepared a rubber handstamp so that stamps of 5 piastres were available.
