Interesting message on reverse "we have been received by Ras Makonen" (Governor of the province of Harar) "and we are on our way to Addis Abeba". Some minor faults but scarce.
    Note: The card is written by the French artist and explorer M. Potter, a member of the De Bonchamps expedition that explored the Upper Nile.

Further examples from the 1905 issue are displayed (uncancelled) as the writer explains the 500 stamps issued in March 1905 of  5 c. on 16 g. black issued in March 1905 (two examples) etc. Signed at base of third page by the Postmaster, J. A. Michel. Not all the stamps appear to have genuine overprints, however, an historical and extraordinary piece.

The envelope was then charged (not taxed) for internal transmission with April 1905 Postage Due "T" (Type II) in violet on 1894 1 g. blue tied by "HARAR" Type II datestamp (May 16). Some edge wear to envelope but a rarity of Ethiopian philately.
    Note: Contrary to Michel's listing, this issue has been recorded used from April 28th 1905. The stamps were only used in Harar.
