    1849: 20 c. black on yellowish and 1 fr. carmine, used on 1849 cover to Copenhagen, Denmark, the 20 c. just shaved at top and the 1 fr. similarly just touched at right, each tied by manuscript pen strokes and grill obliterators in black and further cancelled by 'Paris' despatch datestamp (Nov 8). Red framed 'PD' at left, although actually overpaid 10 centimes as this value of the first issue had yet to be issued. Manuscript at left 'frco. 9' marked at Hamburg in schillings (equivalent to 29 skilling). Two vertical file folds away from the adhesives, reverse with Thurn & Taxis and Danish Post Office in Hamburg datestamps (Nov 10) in black. A remarkable and extremely rare franking - the earliest recorded stamped letter from France to Denmark. Signed Roumet; certificates Roumet (1999), RPS (2002).

    1875: Cérès 10 c. brown, tied by MORTEAU 14 MAI 76 cds to precursor postcard with triangular "T"  mark and handwritten "5" (décimes) taxation alongside, sent to Chaux de Fonds Switzerland with arrival on May 19, 1876. The taxation of 50 c. is the double deficiency of the letter rate without taking into account the 10 c. stamp. Less than five taxed precursor cards abroad are known.

In spite of the taxation mark the adressee did not pay the tax. Less than five taxed precursor cards abroad are known which were replaced in 1878 by stationery postcards.
