Lisbon arrival cds (April 22) also on reverse. The two covers to London are franked by similar adhesive but untied but with British 'Opened By Censor / 4513' on reverse, and a stampless cover endorsed from Odessa with the 'No Charge' handstamp. Faults but a rare trio showing the communication difficulties with the rest of Europe at this date.

    Courier Field Post 1920: 10 hr. on 50 sh. carmine in a fine vertical pair (pos. 14/19) used with 20 hr. on 20 sh. brown (pos. 25) paying the registered rate on 1920 cover to Theodore Champion in Paris, tied by 'Stavka A' (Field P.O. headquarters) datestamps in violet (Oct 15). The cover was carried to Tarnow and transmitted with Poland with manuscript at top 'At Central Office Tarnow the letter was registered' and franked by 1919 5 m. brown-lilac tied by Tarnow cds in black. Registration cachets in violet and in black respectively alongside and reverse, top flap missing, with Field Post Office datestamp in violet (Oct 20). The Field Post issue was only valid within the Ukraine and their adhesives have also been cancelled by an unidentified 'D.P.' handstamp in black.

    Despite 1919 5 m. brown-lilac with lower right cover defective, a remarkable and extremely rare cover, purchased from Roumet in 1950 and believed unique.
