    1856/1924: ROSARIO, collection of early entires, stamps and ephemera, with twenty letters beginning with a prephilatelic clear double oval strike FRANCA, then 1862 Argentine Republic 5c rose good margined copy on letter from Buenos Aires to San Juan with blue double circle arrival, and the same double circle CORREIO DEL ROSARIO on front with close cut horizontal pair to TUCUMAN. Arguably the outstanding item is an 1882 registered letter with mixed 32c franking between 1867 Rivadavia 8c and 1873 Moreno 4c to Italy. The briefly used ROSARIO 'without date' is included on two entires, whilst the remainder is made up of a range of other letters and three fiscal stamps, also with local ROSARIO interest.

    1925/1972: Collection of over 110 Airmail covers, beginning with a couple 1925 internal flights in both directions RIO - CORDOBA, two 1932 ZEPPELIN PAN-AMERICA flights, as well as a range of subsequent flights. Mail to Europe dominates this collection, with a good range of advertising cards for the competing CONDOR and AIR FRANCE service. A CRISTOBAL CZ plane crash cover from 1937 with stamps missing bears testimony to the difficulties aviation pioneers faced. The collection also includes the rare 1932 first experimental flight from BUENOS AIRES to MONTEVIDEO, as well as the first direct flight from BUENOS AIRES to NEW YORK.     1843/1940: Strong, predominantly used, classic and semi-classic collection up to WWII in seven self-designed Albums, containing many excellent quality classic stamps and covers. The collection commences with an array of nine pre-philatelic letters, including two interlopers originating from BUENOS AYRES, including one via the British Office both to EUROPE. The collection contains thirteen BULLS-EYE stamps including five early impressions, and over 70 copies of the subsequent "INCLINADOS" issue, including the key value 600 R. The 1849 "VERTICAIS" issue takes up 15 pages in the first album, here including 10 copies of the 600 R. The 1854 "COLORIDOS" come with seven copies of the 430 R including one large margin unused specimen. The 1866 perforated issues are also well represented. The 1866 "Emperor Pedro II" section contains four unused 500 R orange-yellow all no gum, the subsequent rouletted stamps are again strongly represented with eight 700 R reddish-brown and eighteen 1000 R grey.  Later issues are similarly strong, with more and more very attractive letters and covers, to name an example a 200 R lettercard from 1883 used as registered correspondence from MACEIO to CONSTANTINOPLE. Post revolution issues continue in the same vein, each representited in significant nubers. Post 1900 the collector added more unused items, with onset of the 1930s airmail letters becomeing more prominent, imcluding six of Zeppelin return flights and some other airmail. A thouroughly enjoyable lot to study and enlarge.

    1850/1878: British POs in Chile, delightful collection with nine entires of both incoming and outgoing mail, beginning with two inward letters from the Lambert correspondence to "COQUIMBO", and four unpaid letters from "VALPARAISO", one to "NEW YORK" with 1/- tax mark in red and a US 10c "STEAMSHIP", the others to France and Switzerland. The Valparaiso office is also represented with three franked letters, including an 1871 letter franked by a pair 1867 1s pl. 4, and an 1878 letter to New York franked 1874 6d grey pl.15.
