Reverse with fine double arc "KINGSTON / JAMAICA" cds in black (April 22) and cover landed at Falmouth where superb "CARTHAGENA / O" fleuron applied in red. London arrival (May 23) in red on reverse and rated '2/3d.' due to pay in manuscript. A delightful and rare entire that dsiplays well.

    British P.O.'s 1880: Newspaper wrapper from Savanilla to Montpellier, France struck on despatch with fine "SAVANILLA / BARRANQUILLA" British P.O. despatch cds (Jan 31) in black. Sent unpaid with large "T" marking in black and initially struck with framed "1FR. 92c. PER KILO", this marking over-scored and further framed "1FR. PER KILO" marking applied in black, with "30" décime charge marking in red at right and Montpellier arrival (March 3) on reverse. An astonishing and believed unique cover, unrecorded by James Van Der Linden, first seen by this describer in the late Trevor Davis's collection.
