    1924 (July 16): Incorporation of Nicoya, Guanacaste; the two Large Format sunken Master Die Proofs for the two designs (228 x 152 mm.) by the American Banknote Co., with near complete Die Proof engraved in green without Duty Plate but with designs for values: 1 c., 2 c., 5 c. and 10 c. below and file number '51017' above and typed 'Costa Rica, Postage 1924' at base of file card; second Die Proof engraved in brown without Duty Plates and showing value designs for 15 c., 20 c. and 25 c. below and file number '50962' at top. A superb and rare pair.
