    British P.O.'s 1852 (Nov 8): Entire letter from Santa Martha addressed to General Thomas Mosquera in New York (former President of Colombia) endorsed "4d. Paid" in purple manuscript at top and struck with superb Crown "PAID AT CARTHAGENA" handstamp in black. Reverse with British P.O. 'CARTHAGENA' double circle cds (Nov 10) in black and 'ST. THOMAS' transit cds (Nov 14). Struck with '40' US Ship charge upon arrival in black. Rare and very fine entire Scott = $ 1'100.
