1858 (Nov 1): 5 parale black on bluish grey paper, Type I, two examples of this great rarity, re-joined to the original pair on original pieces of the newspaper from which they were separated prior to 1914. The left hand 5 pa. with complete margins all round, close to the vertical frame line at left but not touching, and with large margin at right showing a gap between the stamps of 10.5 mm., this stamp with slight staining of trivial importance. The right hand 5 pa. again has complete margins all round, the design being untouched and the paper a vivid blue. The stamps are tied to the small pieces by a complete "Jassy" datestamp (20/5) struck in blue. Just 34 examples of this stamp are recorded and this multiple is a great rarity of classic philately.
