Mailed to Ambérieu, Ain, reverse with arrival cds of the same day. Lightest vertical file fold of no importance, a very fine and fresh adhesive on attractive small-sized cover, a perfect stamp well documenting the very early usage of the first French stamp. Two circulars by the Postal administration led to confusion in the Post Offices on the methods of obliteration.     1862/67: Triple rate Envelope from Bagnols to Uzès bearing on front a mixed issue franking of same face value and colour of Napoléon perf. 20 c. blue and Napoléon laureated 20 c. blue, Type I, two fresh pairs, one vertical, one horizontal, tied by light Gros Chiffres '285' numeral lozenge, "BAGNOLS-S-CEZE (29) 27 AVRIL 68" despatch cds alongside. Reverse with arrival cds of the same day. The cover had already been used from Pont - St. Esprit to Bagnols in February 1867 bearing a single Napoléon perf. 20 c. blue adhesive on the inner side. Cover with some wear, nevertheless an exceptional combination of the two designs to pay the triple rate.
