Gi = £ 42'000+.rnrnNote: The 7½ d. rate to the United Kingdom was in effect between August 1854 and the end of April 1860, when the new currency, the New Brunswick dollar was introduced with one dollar being equal to 5 shillings. As there had been no stamps with adequate face value, the 7½ d. rate to the UK had to be franked using either bisected 3 d. adhesives which is the more 'common' way with about 40 covers recorded or as in this case with quadrisected 6 d. adhesives, where only two covers are known. The other cover was ex Dale, Carnegie, Koh & Warren Wilkinson, a xerox of the last auction is added for documentation purposes.rnrnProvenance: Collection Louise Boyd Dale & Alfred F.
