1860/63: 10 c. vermillion, the upper left half of a diagonally bisected example, a fine and fresh example with vivid colour, used as 5 c. franking and neatly tied by 'Bars in Oval' obliterator and "GUYSBOROUGH N.S." despatch cds (July 10, 1861) to cover to Halifax. Reverse with oval arrival datestamp cds of the next day. Part of backflap missing, still a very appealing usage to pay the letter inland rate. Cert.
