1897 (Nov 20): Registered Cover from St. Helena to Montreal, Canada bearing 1864-80 2 d. yellow in combination with 1884-94 2½ d. ultramarine and 3 d. deep mauve, three fine and fresh adhesives, tied by bold grill obliterator, "ST. HELENA NO 20 97" despatch cds in black alongside. Obverse shows clear strikes of oval "REGISTERED / ST. HELENA" and "REGISTERED LONDON 14 DE 97" datestamps. Reverse with four different Montreal cds's (Dec 24) as the receiver was not found immedeately. An appealing and interesting cover, a rarely seen connection.Ausruf : 200 CHFZuschlag : 320 CHF -
