    1895/96: De La Rue Imperforate photographic composite Essay for the 1 r. value, with uncoloured flags above the central vignette and without the fancy border, on card (90 x 115 mm.) lettered "B" at top and dated "Nov 18th 95" in ink, pencil manuscript "Copper plate" and, at base correct Arabic inscription to be substituted below the Duty Plate with "error" written by Thomas E.E. Remington, Director of Posts and Telegraphs. This submitted Essay was accepted on March 12, 1896. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP., on page 6561.
