    Sultan Ali bin Hamoud Issue 1906/08: De La Rue Die Proofs (2) for the head-plate, each engraved by L.V. Phillips in black on sunken medium wove paper (circa 42 x 47 mm.), the first with Sultan's portrait only, the second example with guide-lines added at sides in black and signed in pencil. A similar Proof illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6603. A scarce and most attractive pair.
