    Cyprus 1865 (June): Large part cover from Larnaca to Torino, endorsed "via Trieste", bearing 1863 Arms 3 s. green and 5 s. rose perf. 14 in combination with 1864 15 s. brown perf. 9½, three fine and fresh examples with good embossing and perforation, tied by "LARNACA DI CIPRO .. / 6" cds (Tranmer fig. 3) in black, "P.D." in blue and framed "PIROSCAFI POSTALI ITALIANI" in black alongside, reverse with indistinct transit cds's of SMIRNE and BRINDISI as well as part arrival cds of TORINO. Lower part of cover is missing, nevertheless a rare and desirable three-colour two-issue franking paying correctly the pre-1866 rate of 20 soldi for the Lloyd and 8 soldi / 20 centesimi for Italy. A highly desirable item with a late usage of the 1863 issue, signed Raybaudi; certs. E.     Cyprus 1866 (April 2): Cover from Larnaca to Syros bearing 1864 Arms 5 s. rose and 15 s. brown perf. 9½, two single examples with good perforation, the 5 s. adhesive with minor tear at top and light bend when glued to the cover, both tied by oily "LARNACA DI CIPRO 2 / 4" cds (Tranmer fig. 3) in the typical brownish black. Upon arrival charged with '20' lepta in blue crayon, taxed with Large Hermes Head 20 l. blue, fair to large margins all round, tied by SYROS cds (March 27, julian). Reverse with Austrian SMIRNE transit cds and another strike of the SYROS arrival cds. Some wear, but a most interesting and desirable partial prepayment combination cover of Arms adhesives used in Larnaca with an additional Greek adhesive, cert.     1918/1980ca.: Convolute of Polish stamps in 8 stockbooks plus a box with modern philatelic covers. There is a quite advanced part collection with duplication. Many better sets unused, unmounted and used, including e.g. 'Na Skarb' unused and nicely used, souvenir sheet number 1 unused, 'Commanders' from 1944 unused, 'BIE' set 1946 used on a piece, etc. Huge quantities of cheap duplicates with a good potential for a searcher of perforations or cancellations from the 20s to the 50s, 'Groszy' overprints, modern topical sets. Also included exile issues, Silesia and city post stamps (from Zarki only forgeries). Generally, some overprints are doubtful. Last but not least, a few stock cards in a small box.rnrn

    1918/1999: Comprehensive collection in 18 volumes covering the stamps of modern Poland including many rare issues consisting of stamps, covers and some items of postal stationery including local issues and associated areas. This collection is particularly strong in the inter  war period with most high value issues included and often used and unused, sometimes many copies. Specifically contained 1919 Posen issue used, 1921 "Red Cross" used and unused, 1921 Air 3 sets, 1928 Philatelic Exhibition miniature sheet used and unused, two 1935 "Gordon Bennett" flight covers, 1937 Royal Visit Miniature sheets 4 sets, 1938 Philatelic Exhibition sheets on cover, "Flight into the stratosphere" 4 unused and one used sheet. Later 1944 Freedom Fighters used, 1946 "BIE" in complete sheets of 12, blocks of four and the miniature sheet issue, 1948 "Culture" miniature sheets used and unused, 1948 "US Constitution" miniature sheets used and unused. A very substantial collection which has been accumulated over many years.

The letter is entirely written in Hebrew and is of great freshness. A very decorative example of this rare route.

    1873 (Sept 22): Unpaid Cover from Galati to Corfu, endorsed "Via Trieste", struck by GALATZI despatch cds, on arrival charged with '100' lepta in blue crayon, taxed with 80 l. rose-carmine and 20 l. blue on blue, overal fair to large margins, the 80 l. touched on two sides, tied by '106' numeral lozenge of Kerkyra, reverse with WIEN transit cds as well as part strike of KERKYRA arrival (Sept 17, 73, julian) cds. Backflap missing, two disinfection slits well away from the adhesives, a fine and interesting cover from Romania to Greece.

    1878: 10kr green type II, vertical pair tied by clear but in places faint 'AGENTIE D.D.S.G. SISTOV' in blue with additional franking Hungary 2kr. rose perf 13 (2) on extremely rare letter from SISTOV to Vienna in the second weight rate. The Hungarian stamps are tied by a BAZIAS single circle (22. Sep), an arrival cancel 'WIEN' (23. Sep.) is on the reverse. The D.D.S.G. franking displays the usual natural irregular perforation upper stamp short corner perf, minor paperbends do not detract. The lower stamp of the pair shows a tear to the middle of the stamp. The green stamps paid the postage from the Bulgarian port SISTOV to BAZIAS, the Hungarian stamps paid for the onward journey to WIEN. The envelope shows signs of past rough treatment, but according to the certificate Ferchenbauer is unique as a letter of the 2. weight rate.     1865/1970: Comprehensive collection of stamps and entires on pre-printed leaves and on stock cards, with strength in all areas, beginning with the 1865 issue 'CUZA', with good ' CHARLES I' and subsequent issues. The pre-war issues are collected specialised by perforation. There is strength in the occupation issues including a reply card with canceller 'GIORGIU' and a good study of the fiscal stamps of the occupation. Futhermore there a significant numbers of perfins and other back of the book, items as well as some good inter-war sets, Post office in the levant and some specialities such as proofs and others. The condition is mostly clean with later materials mainly unmounted.
