    RMSP 1852 (Nov 24): Entire letter from Port of Spain to Greenock endorsed "Packet", franked by September 1852 First Printing lithograph (1 d.) blue on yellowish paper, good to large margins all round, neatly tied by "1" numeral obliterator in black with manuscript "1/-" at left for carriage by RMSP "Great Western" to St. Thomas and "Orinoco" to Southampton. London and Greenock (Dec 21) datestamps on reverse. A superb cover in the foremost quality. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 169. Signed Calves. Cert.     RMSP 1853: Cover from Port of Spain to Greenock endorsed "Packet", franked by 1851 (1 d.) brownish-grey on blued paper, ample to large margins all round, tied by "1" numeral obliterator in black. Manuscript "1/-" prepaid in cash. Reverse with TRINIDAD double arc cds (April 9) in black and local datestamp 'I' (same day). London cds and Greenock arrival (May 5) struck in yellow. Carried on RMSP "Trent" to Barbados and thence per "Derwent" to St. Thomas and "Magdalena" to Southampton. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 170. A fresh and very fine entire.

(Post Paid), franked by 1853 (1 d.) brownish-red on blued paper, clear to large margins all round, tied by "1" numeral obliterator in black. Manuscript "1/2" prepaid with corresponding "♚ / PAID / AT / TRINIDAD" in red at left. Reverse with TRINIDAD double arc cds (Aug 25) in black and Hamburg arrival (Sept 17). Carried on RMSP "Derwent" to St. Thomas and thence per "Atrato" to Southampton, with London transit in red (Sept 15) on obverse. Mail" and "Via Havana", franked by 1854/57 (1 d.) rose-red in a horizontal strip of five, margins touched to large all round, prepaying the local and inter-island rate; lightly tied by "1" numeral obliterators in black. Reverse with double arc TRINIDAD datestamp (Jan 9) and thence per RMSP "Conway" to Barbados and the "Derwent" to St. Thomas with ST. THOMAS (Jan 14) cds in black. Trans-shipped from the "Clyde" in Havana with "STEAMSHIP / 10" arrival on obverse. File fold affects one stamp but a cover of outstanding appearance. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 170. Cert. Carried on the Steamer "Tyne" to St. Lucia and "Arno" to St. Thomas, thence on the "Elbe" to Plymouth. Reverse with "Colonial Postmaster / Trinidad" red wax seal. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 173.
