1866: Dom Pedro 10 r. vermilion, 20 r. red lilac in a horizontal pair and single 50 r. blue all tied to reverse of 1869 entire letter to Figueira, Portugal by dotted black handstamps. Endorsed "per Gironde, via Havre" on front and struck with rare usage of framed Convention marking "F-46" in black (Van der Linden fig. 1182). Charged due on receipt with handstruck '25' (reis) to pay in black (Jan 15, 1870). Minor faults to adhesives presumably on opening of letter, but a rare and most unusual three colour franking of delightful visual appeal.
