    Libya 1908: 20 pa. rose-red postal stationery envelope, a used example mailed in Misrata, cancelled on obverse and reverse on arrival with fine strikes of bilingual "BENGHAZI" cds (Sept. 1) in black (Coles & Walker fig. 42). Slight trim at left but a very fine strike.

    1929: 1000 pi. brown fiscal, handstamped for postal use, with additional franking 500 pi. green (2) one with paper-fold variety and others, all stamps with usual scissor cuts on parcel card from Trebizonde. The 1000 pi. brown postally used is exceptionally scarce, with only 575 stamps having been overstamped for postal use. The franking is stuck close to the edge, thus has suffered somewhat. Nonetheless a very desirable item.

Reverse with Harburg (Feb. 24) arrival cds. Trivial imperfections, an extremely rare usage of the black Orient Express label on letter.

The collector has taken the oportunity to augment his collections by introducing interesting letters of commercial appearance, often with large numbers of stamps. There are two 1934 flight covers, one with cachet confirming emergency landing at PFULLENDORF, the other has been flown from VIENNA to BELGRADE.
