The largest known multiple of this variety. Unique.

FR. F. No. 2 datestamp (Oct 20) struck in black (Salles fig. 1586b/2 addendum) and carried on the 'Ville De Brest' to Colon. Trans-shipped again there and carried on the 'Martinique' of Ligne A. Struck in Paris with framed 'F*58' Franco-Italian convention marking somewhat blurred in blue. Taxed on arrival at 2 lire 80 centesimi with 1870 Postage Due 10 c. (2, slight tear on one stamp), 20 c. and 1 lire all tied by Genova datestamps (Nov 29). A rare and extraordinary cover. Cert. Moorhosue (2013).

1 peseta orange-yellow, a fine used example on 1873 Judicial cover from Contumaza to Caxamarca, neatly cancelled by dotted oval CON / TUMAZA handstamp in black. Reverse with full docketing of sender in manuscript and dated (March 30). A wonderful and very rare usage of this stamp on letter (it is interesting to note that the Eitner collection had no single usages). Cert. Holcombe (1987).

Eugenie' to Bordeaux, thence to Genoa (Dec 27) where charged with '14' handstamp (1 lire 40 centesemi) due in black. 1 d. vermilion, a fine example cancelled at the British P.O. in Callao by bold strike of "C38" obliterator, reverse with 'Callao' datestamp (Dec 14) and London transit cds in red (Jan 17, 1876). Struck with bold (and early use of) "T/1-70" tax marking in blue-black and, on arrival in Genova manuscript '23' and corresponding 1870 Postage Due 30 c. and 2 lire, blunted perforations at left, applied and tied (Jan 19). A few minor faults but an attractive and scarce entire.
