1 d. vermilion, a fine example cancelled at the British P.O. in Callao by bold strike of "C38" obliterator, reverse with 'Callao' datestamp (Dec 14) and London transit cds in red (Jan 17, 1876). Struck with bold (and early use of) "T/1-70" tax marking in blue-black and, on arrival in Genova manuscript '23' and corresponding 1870 Postage Due 30 c. and 2 lire, blunted perforations at left, applied and tied (Jan 19). A few minor faults but an attractive and scarce entire.
