Sonnino, "MALTA" or "ALEXANDRIA" originating from  "ATFE", "MALTA", "LIVORNO", "ALEXANDRIA", "CONSTANTINOPLE", "CAIRO" and many other points of origin. Many are carried by the Posta Europea from Cairo to Alexandria and bear the black or blue oval cachet "AGENZIA DELLA POSTA EUROPEA IN CAIRO", others are forwarded by British, French or Austrian mail with according markings. Many incoming items bear "Purifié au Lazaret / Malte" or similar "LIVORNO" marks. Furthermore, there are hundreds of shipping contracts, often on attractive preprinted stationery. A treasure trove of reasearch material for the postal historian.
