    1871/1902: 9 d. on 10 d. red-brown, perf. 10, a used example on 1895 OHMS printed envelope sent registered at double rate to Boston, USA, tied by "Registered / Sydney NSW" cds (Aug 21) from the Postal & Electric Telegraph Department. Reverse with San Francisco transit (Sept 26) and Boston arrival (Oct 2). A charming and scarce cover.

    1882/85: Official 3 d. yellow-green and 6 d. pale lilac, optd. "OS", used on imprinted OHMS cover of the "Australian Museum, Sydney" to Prague endorsed "via Naples per Lusitania", tied by "Oxford Street" cds (May 22) in black. The cover with diagonal cuts as mailed during the Smallpox epidemic of 1882-1883. reverse with Sydney, Venezia (July 25) and Prague cds's. A very scarce and appealing cover.rnrn

Imperforate "De La Rue" engine turning label applied at base for proposed colour with "£1 Tel." above in pencil manuscript; however utilised for the issued 1880 2 d. Revenue.
