Crown CC, perf. 14, a used example vertically trisected (2 d.) and a twelfth part of the same stamp (½ d.) alongside used on 1884 cover to Basseterre, St. Kitts paying the 2½ d. rate, tied by "A08" obliterator in black with faint 'Montserrat / Paid' below and 'St. Kitts' arrival cds (May 3) alongside. The envelope folded slightly, 10 mm., at left for better Exhibit display, a remarkable and very rare cover illustrated in colour on the dust-jacket of the Robson Lowe Encyclopaedia. Unique. Cert. Crown CC, perf. 14, an unused block of four, marginal from top of sheet, showing the re-entry on lower right stamp on first "A" of ANTIGUA, of superb deep colour with two minor gum bends of absolutely no significance, part og. with the lower pair superb og. A very rare stamp, believed to have been just one sheet printed, possibly as a Colour Trial (see Robson Lowe Encyclopaedia page 85) and abandoned due to the 'Montserrat' not being clearly seen on the blue-green background.
