    1858: 1 d. slate-blue, a used example with large margins all round on 1859 cover from Lima to Paris, tied by dotted "1 LIMA 2" obliterator in black. Reverse with British P.O. CALLAO cds in black (May 12) and thence via Panama to London (June 16). Struck there with framed "GB / 2F 87½ c." accountancy marking, charged with handstruck '12' décimes due on arrival (June 17).     1868/72: Lecoq 1 d. green, a single example used on 1870 cover from Lima to France tied by "Lima" cds (Nov 21) in black. Reverse with British P.O. CALLAO cds in black (Nov 24) and circular "PANAMA TRANSIT" cds (Nov 30) in black. Carried from Colon by French Steamer "Floride" with circular "*LIGNE B* / PAQ. FR. No. 1" in black on reverse, and rare usage of the "COL. FR. PAQ. FR. / ST.NAZAIRE1" in red (Jan 9, 1871), used during the Franco-Prussian War (Salles fig. 1351) and charged with handstruck '12' décimes in black. Bourron arrival (Jan 27) on reverse, again a delay due to the War. Imperfections to the envelope at left but rare.

    1868/72: Lecoq 1 d. green, a single example on 1872 cover from Tacna to Paris tied by double arc "TACNA / PERU" cds in black, with British P.O. "ARICA" cds in black (Oct 23) and CALLAO transit verso, thence via London (Nov 27) where struck with framed "GB / 1F 90 c." accountancy marking in black. Charged with handstruck '15' décimes due marking upon arrival: tariff of 1 July 1871. An attractive cover. Opinion Peter Holcombe (1988).

    1868/72: Covers (2) from same correspondence on Exhibit page, each bearing Lecoq 1 d. green, 22 March 1871 entire letter with single example from Tacna to France tied by despatch cds in blue (March 22) with British P.O. ARICA cds in black alongside, via London with "GB / 1F 90 c." accountancy marking and charged by handstruck '12' décimes due; second entire letter mailed in 1868 with Lecoq 1 d. green (three examples) used from Tacna with red cds (Oct 21) via London with "GB / 1F 90 c." accountancy marking and charged at double rate on arrival with handstruck '24' décimes marking in black. Minor imperfections to entires, but a scarce pair.

    1866/67: Llama 5 c. green (2) used in combination with Great Britain 1 d. red pl. 152 in a vertical pair (Gi. Z29, plate number unlisted by Gibbons) and two 1873/80 6 d. grey pl. 13 (Gi. Z46) on 1875 cover with some file folds mailed to Bourg en Bresse, France tied by fair strikes of 'C38' British Post Office in Callao obliterators. Reverse with corresponding single ring 'Callao' datestamp (Feb 14). London transit in red (March 16) and reverse with arrival cds. Minor imperfections but a rare fully paid to destination franking.     1866/67: Llama 20 c. brown used on 1876 mourning cover to Paris endorsed "via Panama & Southampton" cancelled by 'Lima / Principal' datestamp in black, with Great Britain 1867/73 3 d. rose pl. 14 in a horizontal pair and block of four (Gi. Z35), wing margins trimmed prior to application, tied by bold strikes of "C38" obliterators of the British P.O. in Callao (Jan 14). Black 'T' marking applied over the 'London / Paid' cds as the cover found to be above 7½ grams and taxed in manuscript '22' décimes to pay on arrival (Feb 20).     1874/80: 10 c. green, a used example on 1878 cover from Arequipa to Paris endorsed "voie de Panama" tied in black, with superb strike of British P.O. "MOLLENDO" code A applied in transit (June 23) on reverse in black. London transit cds and struck there with "T / 1-70" accountancy marking in blue with Calais entry marking in red alongside (July 30). Taxed on arrival with handstruck '22' décimes due marking - rare rate, in use for only for just two months in 1878.

    1874/84: 10 c. green with grill, a used example on 1877 entire letter from Callao to Nantes, France tied by "C38" obliterator of the British P.O. in black. British P.O. CALLAO cds on reverse (July 28) and thence via Panama to London (Aug 29) where struck with "T / 1-70" accountancy handstamp in black and charged with handstruck '23' décimes marking in black (repeated above in manuscript 2 fr. 30). Scarce and fine entire.

    1874/84: 10 c. green with grill used on 1879 cover to Paris endorsed "via de Panama" tied by "Lima / Pral." cds in black (Jan 13) with circular "PANAMA TRANSIT" cds (Jan 25) of British P.O. Transferred to French ship "St. Laurent"  from Colon to St. Nazaire struck with octagonal "PANAMA / PAQ. FR. A No.3" datestamp Feb 1 in red (Salles fig. 1413). Struck with triangular 'T' marking in black and taxed with handstruck '15' décimes charge marking on arrival. Slight edge wear to envelope but scarce.

    1875: 10 c. red on yellow postal stationery envelope from Lima to Paris endorse "Via Panama English Packet", cancelled by "Lima / Pral." cds (Feb 13). Reverse with British P.O: CALLAO cds and thence mailed via London with erroneous "GB / 1F 60 c." accountancy marking replaced by correct "GB / 1F 90 c." Calais transit on front and struck on arrival with handstruck '30' décimes charge marking in black. An attractive and scarce cover.

    1879 (Oct 28): Cover with complete original contents written from Callao, reverse with handstamped "VICTORIEUSE / LE COMMISSAIRE / de la division navale du pacifique" in blue. Franked by France Type Sage 15 c. blue pair tied / deleted in manuscript by blue crayon cross at British P.O. with "PANAMA / TRANSIT" three line dated handstamp (Nov 7). Thence via London (Dec 2) where "T / 1-10" applied in black. Charged with handstruck '16' décimes handstamp, the 30 c. franking credited on arrival (Dec 4) and tax reduced to '13' décimes in manuscript and the stamps were again cancelled in Toulon. Corner opening tear but an extremely unusual entire with long contents.

    1883: Provisional Triangle Overprints 1 c. orange and 10 c. green with UPU and Triangle 10 c. green used on 1884 cover from Lima to Paris tied by large "Correos / Lima Peru" datestamps. Two large circular "T" markings in black and 'Paris / Etranger' cds in blue (Feb 5). Manuscript '2' at upper left corner to denote double weight and charged with 1882 1 fr. black (Maury T22) tied by triangular handstamp. An extremely rare usage.

    Arequipa Provisionals 1883. Arequipa 10 c. rose imperforate, overprinted circular Arequipa in blue, a vertical strip of three and a vertical pair with top stamp diagonally bisected, on 1883 cover to Paris all tied by AREQUIPA straight line handstamps in black. Stamps surrounded by '0' markings denoting no franking value. Reverse with Lima transit cds (Nov 22) and taxed on arrival with 1882 Postage Due 10 c. black, 40 c. black and 1 fr. black (Maury T15+T19+T22) tied by triangular handstamps. Edge wear to envelope but of great rarity.

    1886: Consular cover sent stampless from Lima to France by Diplomatic bag, struck with "Legation de France / au Pérou" in blue with Consular cachet on reverse and endorsed "Service", struck on arrival with triangular "T" marking in blue and "Paris / Etranger" cds (Feb 24) in blue. Manuscript '2' at left for double weight and taxed with 1882 1 fr. black (Maury T22) tied by "Mirande / Gers" cds (Feb 16). Rare.
