The cover was then turned and re-used again to Riobamba with same '5½' weight endorsement at top and a further 1 r. green strip of three applied and cancelled in the same manner with GUANO cds (Sept 17) alongside. Cuenca acceptance cds alongside (Nov 4). The 'Telegrafo 1' was a Macchi Hanriot aeroplane (HD-1) flown by the Italian pilot Elia Liut. A splendid and extremely rare usage - the first ever aeroplane flight in Ecuador Longhi 20NaB/Muller #1 = 10'000 points.
