    1869 (Jan 22): Entire letter written in Italian from Alexandretta to Aleppo, manuscript '1' in crayon at right, handstamped on arrival with two line POSTE - RUSSE / d'ALEP in blue (Tchilinghirian fig. 205). It is interesting to note the similarity of this marking with that of the French Post Office in Aleppo at the same time. The exceptional strike of this marking on a fine entire in excellent quality. Rare. The unique usage recorded by Tchilinghirian & Stephen. Cert. BPA (2000).

    West Ukraine 1919 (May 9-12): 'G' on Austria Postage Due 5 kr. ultramarine, position 4 on the pane, tied to locally used registered cover by 'Stanislav' cds (18.V.19) in black. Yellow 'Stanislau 1' registered label at lower left. A remarkable cover with just 60 stamps issued of the 'G' on 5 kr. ultramarine, and only 3 usages on letter recorded.
