Free Franking for Scadta Officials 1923 (July 2): Cover mailed from Bogotá to Colombian Embassy in Berne, sent without Scadta adhesives, franked by 1920 1 c. green and 1923 3 c. blue in a strip of three all cancelled by "Scadta / Bogota" datestamps in red. There was no 'free' franking privelege for Consular Mail at this time and thus the sender must have been a senior employee of Scadta. An unusual cover.Starting bid : 150 CHFHammer price : not sold -
